Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, Colorado
Last Weekend I had the opportunity to go Colorado for a wedding in Denver. I took the opportunity to run down to Colorado Springs to see Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods as a side venture. These images are from the Garden of the Gods that are natural rock formations. The park there had many beautiful walking trails and pull off areas for vehicles for admirers. Pikes Peak can be seen in one of the images looming in the distance background as a snow covered mountain.

I wonder why they called it Garden of the Gods? After all, the Gods made the whole early, putative, and … well it just makes me think. Do you know where it got the name?
Not sure. I think the documentary movie at the visitors center said something about one of the first settlers naming it.
