Monthly Archives: April 2015

A Great Blue Heron that I found near the spillway too Montezuma Wildlife Refuge back on a  April 2nd dreary day. Almost all the Refuge was still frozen over at that time except near the spillway. He was finding something to eat in that area because I could see him get something every now and then and munching on it.

A Female Northern Cardinal that has bean visiting my back yard. She likes to be in the middle of everything in the yard and counsel herself because I'm always getting something that is obstructing some of the view of her that's in the way.

A Male Red-bellied Woodpecker that I found up to the family farm this past weekend. He was calling for a female that was in the area as well. I saw the two of them together in the trees but could not get close enough to take any images of them together.  I captured this one with my new Canon EOS 70D camera that I'm still trying to learning to use but I do like some of the images I've been getting so far. It is very different from my old camera the Canon EOS T2i.

Hello every one, it's bean a couple of weeks séance my last post but I'm still hear. Things are fine and I'm looking forwards to the onset of spring in Binghamton NY. Today I'm sharing some images of a foggy March 10th night on the Chenango River that I thought were pretty cool. Me and my oldest son (MCD) took a midnight wake to play with our cameras for nether one of us have really done any night shooting that amounted to anything before and we were queries. Well, to get started: The top image and the next one are of the Exchange Street Bridge looking up stream from the rivers edge. The third images is of the Washington Street Bridge. The one after that is the Rt 434 Crossing Bridge, that is one of the main artery of traffic in the Binghamton and Vestal area. The last image is of the old Crowley's Dairy Plant as it sits next to the river with the tall chimney. Night Shoots 005Night Shoots 001Night Shoots 002Night Shoots 008
