Red-tail Hawk #4

Hawk, Red-tail 004

A Red-tail Hawk that I found along the river that was harassing some Buff Ducks that were in the water. I think I took this shot on the tenth of this month, a week and a half ago maybe. The Buff Ducks moved on but the hawk is still hear.

Ducks, Bufflehead 001

Bufflehead Ducks image #1. I just cannot get close enough to these little one to get good shoots for my self. The red-tail definitely got closer to them then I can.

Hello Michael, you have amazing photos and I would like to challenge you to the Black and White photo 5 day challenge, itโ€™s just for fun so totally up to you if you accept.

    • Thank you Alix, it sounds like it would be fun but at this moment I’m going to have to decline. There is a lot of things going on in my life right now that need my attention currently. I would love to pick up on this in a couple of weeks or so when things calm down if that would be fine with you. Jest let me now what the rules will be for this challenge and topics of interest if any thing. And you better go essay on me for B&W is not my usual background field of work. Thanks again Friend, MT ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful photo of the Red-tail! We have a pair nesting near our house, that we see on our morning walk. I would love to capture one of them sitting on the nest. This morning, one was sitting and the other one flew to the nest. They exchanged places. I was using binoculars!

    • Finding the nest sit is great, you both can watch the coming and going. If you find a good vantage point you could probably come up with those shoot that your looking for. I would look forwards to seeing some of those images. I would love to have the opportunity to have a nest sit to go and get some images as well. Good luck and enjoy your experiences with them for now. MT ๐Ÿ™‚
