A Western Scrub Jay from the Ojai Valley area California. This was likely the most numerous bird that I saw while in Ojai. Similar to the Blue Jay in New York State with the exception of missing the white on its wings and having his black mask on his head.

"Hummingbirds of plenty" is an image I took at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa Garden. Almost all of my images of the Anna's and Allen's Hummingbirds came from this little oasis. One day I spent three hours in the morning there trying to capture images of the Hummers because there were so many of them. The garden was very beautiful in its own right as well. I would love to go there again some day. The image has two Anna's Hummingbirds in it, I think that they are both male.
