Thursday on our road trip, one of the places we ended up was the Oneonta Butterfly Conservatory off Rt. 7 east of Oneonta. The place was small (3,000sq ft) and the way the building was nestled in the woods, I could not get an image of the facility. Beyond that, I found the place enjoyable with its creatures and all. The staff were very friendly, helped to point out hidden creatures and very willing to answer any questions like identifying the animals. I should have paid more attention to the names of everything rather then trust my books at home. Most of these critters are not in the books that I have.
Any further posts on the Conservatory, I will refer to it as the ( O.B.C.), the Oneonta Butterfly Conservatory.
