Art, Were ideas come from

A picture of an eagle coming out of a volcano done with colored pencil and markers. It was a grid box design I did back in 1988 when I used to draw a lot. The original design came from a pellet advertisement for .177 and .22 caliber pellets. I no longer have the ad, but the art remains and is framed, hanging in a place to admire.

This image has history for me and some of my ideas. The image I called “Talains erupting”, and I got some ridicule for the spelling of talons.  I kept the spelling  the way it was and eventually used it as my gaming name for arcade games and on-line gaming. I still use the name to play with!

Eventually I have  used Talain as my blogging name. I believe that Art is were ideas come from, dreams are imagined, reality takes place and persistance pays off.

Just love it, compliments Michael I hope you have some more drawings to show us. You said you used coloured pencils, was it pastels?

  2. You are truly gifted artist and should continue more of these creations! You could sell your masterpieces on Etsy and make good $$….just a thought.

You are after my own heart… fishing and photography 🙂 Your work is beautiful. Your birds are great, I know the patience that’s required.

  5. Seems like you did something like this on your car way back when. You had a midnight blue sedan. I liked it then and like it now

    • Yes, I had put the same image on the doors of the 76 Buick Regal I had. Gone to car heaven now. 🙂
