Great Crested Flycatcher, Broome county, NY. This bird was quite skittish, but after patient waiting by its nesting site, I managed to get a few nice pictures. She eventually had 3 chicks that fled the nest when they grew up.
Spent time vacationing at Cedar Point state park on the St Lawrence Seaway;as a person who doesn’t live by a large body of water I marveled at the small boats passing around the larger ships.
Male American Redstart, Cedar Point state park, NY (June). This is the counterpart to the female in the previous post. I enjoy looking for these birds. They are very elusive.
